The Home Buyer Education program offered by TLC is an eight-hour course designed to provide individuals with the necessary knowledge and resources to make informed and successful home purchases. Completing this course is mandatory to qualify for Down Payment Assistance from the City of Tallahassee.

Registration and Communication Details

After signing up for the class, you will receive instructions via email on how to join. Registration is free and training materials will be provided later. The class is available both in-person and virtually.

To register for a class, you will need to have an email address to create a personal profile in the ClientMAX portal to access TLC’s service management system. There you will provide relevant information and select a date from the schedule that suits your availability and register for the class.

After you have completed the registration process, you will receive an email from Cft@counselormax.net confirming that your enrollment request has been received. Please check your spam or junk folder if you don’t see the email in your Inbox. You will receive periodic email reminders regarding your class after you have enrolled.

Once you complete the course and secure a lender, your certificate will be sent directly to your lender.
